Why Korn, Why?

Let's go back to mid 1995. I was sitting at my dads girlfriends watching Beavis and Butthead and they started playing a video from some band named Korn. Here's these grungy, unshaven, dreadheaded guys rocking the adidas apperal. Then I hear "are you ready" then great chaos ensues. It was like that 1st puff off of a crack pipe, that 1st shot of heroine into your viens. I was hooked. I spent the next 3 years looking for everything that had Korn's name on it. I bought soundtracks, oversea imports, posters, home videos, and concert bootlegs. When Life is Peachy came out I was very happy to hear it. Granted you could tell that it was put together very fast and wasn't as well produced as thier debut album, but follow up album very rarely live up to the debuts. Then in 1998 I started reading things that were very disturbing. I read that Korn had gotten rid of super producer Ross Robinson, I read that Korn wasn't gonna wear adidas antmore becuase puma gave them a chunk of money, and I read that they were gonna work with Ice Cube on the new album. WTF! Then comes the album Follow the Leader with the first single Got the Life. Needless to say Korn had sold out and I was sick to my stomach. All of a sudden Korn was all over MTV wich was contrary to what they were syain in interviews two years prior. They said they would never make a video for MTV becuase MTV wouldn't play the videos from the first two albums. Then I see Jonathan Davis saying that they were responsable for creating the rap/rock hybrid. Are you fucking serious? Is he stupid or did he miss the whole Run DMC/Areosmith thing? What about 2Live Crew and Motley Crew working together? In the early 90's rappers from Detroits underground like Esham and Kid Rock were fusing rock guitars with synthetic bass beats. Shit even Rage Against the Machine were putting out almbums before Korn. What I'm trying to say is that Davis cannot take credit for a natural progression in music. After Follow the Leader Korn put out Issues, Untouchables, Take a Look in the Mirror, See You on the Other Side, and an untittled album. All of wich were horrible! If you look hard enough you can find a good track here and there. Korn sold out for quick money and to become MTV buzz worthy. They lost all of there hardcore fans and replaced them with a bunch of teenybopin little girls all of wich have grown up and gotten past Korn. So now Korn has become a thing of the past. They've become that question, "hey remember". One band member destroyed his brain with meth and thinks god talks to him at night and adopted half of India. Another left the band to focus on modeling and his sushi bar. So what do the remaining members do? They rehire the super producer Ross Robinson and proclaim that they're gonna get back to the basics in an atempt to regain thier hardcore fans. Well they did get very basic and bland with there new album Korn III. It sucks! And it's too late! You sold out Korn, you broke our hearts and our trust. I'm sure Korn will keep putting out shitty albums and killing time until they can put together a reunion tour in wich all those former teenybopers who loved Follow the Leader will find baby sitters and drag there corprate tie wearing husbands to go see. To sum it all up FUCK YOU KORN!!!!!!!
